  • Improved RAR5 support: Better handling of RAR5, solid, password-protected, and large multi-gigabyte RAR archives.
  • Smarter password handling: Password-protected and header-encrypted archives prompt for a password, and ask again if it is mistyped, instead of failing.
  • More resilient batch and folder jobs: Each locked archive is prompted in turn, duplicate filenames are auto-renamed, and one bad file no longer stops the rest of the batch.

This update makes ezyZip Archive Converter one of the most comprehensive archive tools available, now supporting 165+ formats.

Yes. Version 2026.06.17 adds disk-image output formats: QCOW2 (QEMU/KVM), VMDK (VMware), VHD and VHDX (Hyper-V), VDI (VirtualBox), and raw IMG. You can repackage content into the format your hypervisor expects.

The app prompts you for the password, and asks again if it is mistyped. In multi-file mode, each protected archive is prompted in turn, so one locked file will not block the rest of the batch.

However, you'll need an active subscription to:

  • Download and install newer versions of the app
  • Install the app on a new or reformatted computer
